Termas de Chillán Ski Resort

The Termas de Chillan ski resort is set at a height of 1,650 meters above sea level on the lower slopes of the Chillán Volcano.
It is open all year round because it has a well-known hot spring with extensive installations, and offers adventurous activities like trekking, mountaineering, mountain biking etc.
The ski resort has more than 28 pistes and includes modern lifts, both drags and chairlifts. It also boasts a piste 13 kilometres long, the longest in South America.
The services available include places to stay, restaurants, equipment hire and sales, ski school, coffee shop, first aid centre and safety patrols.
The 2009 ski season starts on 15 June and finishes on 15 October.
Near the centre you can visit the Las Trancas valley and the Cave of Los Pincheiras, a famous gang of outlaws from the early nineteenth century.
