Santa Rosa Lagoon
This is 170 kilometres east of Copiapó, at 3700 metres above sea level, to the far south of the Maricunga Salt Plains, in the middle of the Andes. It is part of the Nevado Tres Cruces National Park.
The lagoon is small in size and an interesting ecosystem is developing in the adjacent areas with the following fauna; pink flamingos, Chilean parina flamingos, ducks, taguas and Andean gulls.
