Group of Houses in Puerto Varas

There are nine houses in Puerto Varas which have been declared National Monuments. There are a further twelve old houses built at the time of the expansion of the town in 1909.

Ángulo House
Declared a Historic Monument, it is at Calle Miraflores Nº 96, at the corner with Nuestra Señora del Carmen.

Gotschlich House
Declared a Historic Monument, it is at Calle Hospital N° 701-705 at the corner with San Javier. It dates from approximately 1910. The structure is of wood, with walls and roof lined with shakes, and the style betrays a neo-classical influence.

Kuschel House
Declared a Historic Monument, it is at Calle Klenner Nº 299 at the corner with Turismo. It dates from 1915 and is eclectic in style.

Maldonado House
Declared a Historic Monument, it is at Calle Quintanilla Nº 852.

Opitz House
Declared a Historic Monument, it is at Calle Terraplén Nº 861. It dates from approximately 1915. The structure is of wood, with walls and roof lined with sheets of corrugated iron.

Raddatz House
Declared a Historic Monument, it is at Avenida Vicente Pérez Rosales N° 01305 at the corner with Eleuterio Ramírez.

Casa Yunge House
Declared a Historic Monument, it is at Calle San Ignacio Nº 711 at the corner with San Javier. It dates from 1932. The structure is of wood, with walls and roof lined with shakes.

Alemana House
Declared a Historic Monument, it is at Calle Nuestra Señora del Carmen Nº 788 at the corner with Miraflores. It dates from 1914. The structure is of wood, with walls and roof lined with sheets of corrugated iron.

Jüpner House
Declared a Historic Monument, it dates from 1910. The structure is of wood, with walls and roof lined with shakes.
