Petroglyphs in Reserva Nacional Río Cipreses
During a visit to Río Cipreses Nature Reserve you can see some signs of the past left by the pre-Hispanic tribes. There are various sites with petroglyphs (rock paintings), for example, La Piedra del Indio, Carrizal, Cotón, Agua de la Vida and el rincón de los Guanacos. Some date back from between 6000 and 3500 years BC whilst others are more recent. Some sites are not signposted.
