Angelmó
Angelmó lies 2 km from the Plaza de Armas in Puerto Montt. It was founded at the end of the nineteenth century as a small port. Nowadays it is an important tourist center.
There is a large cargo and ferry port, from which you can sail to Chiloé, the Puyuhuapi hot springs, Aisén, the Laguna San Rafael and Puerto Natales. There is also a smaller harbor called Puerto de las Islas where you will see motorboats, launches and some sailboats which offer trips to the Bay of the Reloncaví and the Chiloé archipelago.
The largest seafood and fish market in the country is found here, offering exquisite produce from the Pacific Ocean. It is located in a large warehouse full of stalls which sell seafood, fish, fruit and vegetables, local bread and other traditional products of the area.
There is also an arts and crafts market which can be found along the promenade. Here you can purchase local handicrafts, and other products which are not so local.
