These hot springs are 158 km from Temuco, in the Panqui sector of the Reserva Nacional Villarrica, 58 km north east of Pucón. The installations were constructed as a Retreat Center for Medical Cures; it has two swimming pools with hot water, one with warm water, mud baths, cold plunge in the Río Panqui, and a dining room.
Lodging is also available in Sioux style ‘tepees’ erected on wooden platforms, with room for three people. There is a mini hotel with nine double rooms, each with private bathroom, and a large hall for meetings and conferences. You can get a massage or take a guided walk, and services include celebrations and ceremonies as well as laundry service.
The temperature of the waters fluctuates between 36º and 42º C. The springs are open all year round.
Access is via the road from Pucón to Curarrehue (turn off one kilometer before the town); 40 km of paved road, and from the turnoff to the Termas de Panqui is another 18 km on gravel road. Four-wheel-drive is necessary. There is taxi-service from Pucón.
