La Puerta Arcaeological Site
It is located 40 kilometres southeast of Tierra Amarilla, in the valley of the River Copiapó. It is an important area because it is an interesting cultural specimen.
It consists of two cemetery mounds, an Inca palace and various other minor structures. The cemeteries are situated on one side of the entrance way and if you travel along a secondary path you will reach the largest Inca construction which is surrounded by others.
It was declared a National Monument in 1982.
