How to get to Easter Island?
The only way to travel to Easter Island for most of the year is on the two regular flights per week out of Chile.
By Air:
The simplest means of transport is by air with Lan Chile, which offers between two and four flights per week on the route connecting Santiago with Tahiti. The flight lasts five hours and arrives at the Mataveri airport on Rapa Nui.
By Ship:
Twice a year, a ship sails from the mainland with supplies, which are discharged in Hanga Piko Creek. There is no fixed sailing date, but the voyages are generally in May and September. One possibility is to call the Municipality of Easter Island to inquire.
