Chapa Verde Ski Resort
Chapa Verde is located 60 kilometres north east of Rancagua and 145 kilometres from Santiago. The lifts go up to over 3,000 metres, and there are 1,200 hectares of snow fields to ski. The resort is set in land belonging to the El Teniente Division of Codelco, Chile’s biggest copper company, and is managed by the Chapa Verde Ski Club.
There are 22 pistes of different degrees of steepness and difficulty, including gentle slopes for those who prefer to take it easy and enjoy the scenery. The facilities include four draglifts and one chairlift. Skiing and snowboarding are both practiced. The pistes are between 200m and 1,400m long.
The services available include ski repair, equipment hire, restaurants, coffee shops, accommodation, ski school and first aid.
