Chanco
The city of Chanco, which was declared a Typical Area in May 2000, is located on the coast, in the Seventh Region in Chile.
It is 45 km northwest of Cauquenes and 65 km south of Constitución. As a town it has managed to preserve its colonial houses with long corridors, constructed with adobe and tiles.
Arms Square (Plaza de Armas), in the city centre, is the main walk way and meeting place in Chanco. However San Ambrosio Church is by far the most popular tourist attraction in the city.
It is also worth visiting the House of Culture (Casa de la Cultura) and the Municipal Gallery.
